International Support Services

Cambrooks College in Calgary provides a supportive and welcoming learning environment for all its students. We are conscious of the need for international students to obtain adequate social and other forms of support that will enable them to integrate into Canadian society and have a rewarding academic experience. We directly or indirectly provide international support services the following support for international students.

Counselling and Academic Support

Cambrooks provides academic support and counselling for students, through our College Counsellor, who is passionate about student success, and very familiar with the academic needs of international students. In addition, there are other non-academic academic services provided by governmental and non-governmental agencies in Calgary. Immigration Services Support

Cambrooks does not directly provide immigration services to students. There are a number of immigration consultants in Calgary, who are able to provide immigration support to students who need them. Find Accredited Immigration Consultants here.

 Cross-cultural Communication Skills

The world has become a global village, with Internet technology making it possible for persons and groups to communicate seamlessly across the globe. Cambrooks College understands that international students come from different cultural backgrounds and have varying career aspirations. We provide every registered student with state essential information technology facilities (including a free laptop and free Wi-Fi) in order to facilitate seamless communications among students, and between students and staff on one hand, and students with their families on the other hand. Our instructors are from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures, and fully understand the cultural and learning needs of international students. In addition, our programs are enriched with courses in communication skills – to assist students to develop the ability to effectively communicate in multi-cultural work settings.

 Social Service Support

Cambrooks College provides a wide range of social support for international students prior to arrival and during their stay in Canada. We recognize that our students come from a wide variety of socio-cultural and economic backgrounds, and seek viable means of ensuring that our students integrate into Canadian society, with minimal stress.

Our morning classes are flexible and vary depending on the program.

Morning Classes: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM and 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Evening Classes: 4:00 PM – 8:30 PM or 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Weekend Classes: Friday (5:00 PM – 9:00 PM), Saturday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM), Sunday (5:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
